New York Daily News - Sports - Gary Myers: Elway understands Eli's draft dodging

The draft is a funny thing if you sit and really think about it. Imagine your name being put into a big pot and the word "potential this" and "potential that" slapped onto you.

Now you have finished college and are ready to start your gainful employment. In all other professions you are free to chose your potential employer. In the NFL(as with other sports) your employer has the right to choose you, and in most cases, you can't do a darn thing about it.

Now of course its a "privilege" to play in the NFL blah blah blah but not all teams are created equal as employment opportunities. There are some teams that are almost always bad. Maybe its their location, but usually its the lack of good management that makes a certain team tough to play for. So why can't a person have a say in who is signing their paycheck? What'ss wrong with saying no to an employer because of a bad track record? I know I would not want to work for a company that I didn't have any faith in to get the job done.

New York Daily News - Sports - Dolan dreams of adding Kobe

I can't say that I am all that excited about this one. Kobe has been a pissed off introvert brat since almost day 1 with the Lakers.

The Knicks season fell apart when the traded Van Horn and Doleac. That team was coming together, they had that great underdog feel to them, and they were winning games. I think there was a level that Van Horn and Marbury reached playing together this time around. Keith was pushing harder and playing better, and so was Doleac. Tim Thomas is a career underachiever and won't get any better with the Knicks.

Hopefully team chemistry will be the priority this offseason, but since its NYC and Dolan is a complete moron, it probably won't be.
